The Grade 2 listed lido at the far south of Hampstead Heath featured a large café when it opened in 1937. Our café takes up less than half of the original area but four years ago was given a heath-side service opening. It now complements our well-established neighbours the d’Aurias a little to the north near the tennis courts. During lockdown this café was our base for home deliveries and acquired a range of fruit, cheese, oils and honey and jams as well as our own breads cakes and viennoiserie. There is now a regular falafel and crepe stall on the heath side and our hot dishes of the day developed by our chef Amy Grüninger have become popular, as have our own dog treats with dog walkers.
